Samuels Recycling Company was established in 1896 in Portage, WI and was acquired by Alter Trading Corporation in December of 2006. The Samuels family purchased Samuels/Waupun in December of 1993. The Waupun facility sits on 7 acres of land that includes a railroad siding to support the operation of processing scrap railcars. Waupun also serves the surrounding areas for buying all grades of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With 20 full-time employees, Samuels is a full-service scrap operation. Capabilities include:

• 4 material handlers
• 2 mobile shears
• 1 baler
• 1 bricker
• Multiple trucks and lugger boxes

The Waupun facility is involved in the community and includes supporting local church events, non-profit organizations and the Waupun Truck-N-Show.
