Samuels Recycling Company was established in 1896 in Portage, WI and was acquired by Alter Trading Corporation in December of 2006. Samuels/Portage continues its 111 year history of serving the recycling needs of the community and surrounding areas – accepting all grades of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The Samuels’ program of continuing education and cross-training for employees ensures quality customer service.

The Portage metal recycling facility actively supports the community – youth groups, schools, and even supplies dumpsters throughout the community to promote aluminum can recycling (which helps funds youth group trips to DC!).
