Samuels Recycling Company was established in 1896 in Portage, WI and was acquired by Alter Trading Corporation in December of 2006. Samuels/Green Bay continues its 50 year history of serving the recycling needs of the community and surrounding areas. Its facility occupies 39 acres of land and buys all grades of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The Samuels’ program of continuing education and cross-training for employees ensures quality customer service. With 110 full-time employees, Samuels is a full-service scrap operation that takes care of customers 24/7. Capabilities include:

• 13 material handlers
• 3 - 1,000 ton shears
• 1 - 3500 hp shredder
• 2 balers
• Multiple trucks, trailers, roll-off and lugger boxes

The Green Bay metal recycling facility is heavily involved in the community – supporting the Village of Howard for Children and the Fire Department.
